y"Holy Baptism is the basis of the whole Christian life, the gateway to life in the Spirit (vitae spiritualis ianua), and the door which gives access to the other sacraments. Through Baptism we are freed from sin and reborn as sons of God; we become members of Christ, are incorporated into the Church and made sharers in her mission: 'Baptism is the sacrament of regeneration through water in the word.'" (C.C.C. 1213)

Bringing our children to the Baptismal font is the first step of our Christian Initiation.
The parish will work to help the parents and the Godparents come to a fuller understanding of this beautiful Sacrament. A session for parents and godparents is offered throughout the year with Baptisms scheduled at the end of each month.
Please bring the following items to the Faith Formation Office by the 20th of the month prior to the Baptism:
Please note that there are not Baptisms during Advent or Lent.
As we are now part of a Parish Family, Baptisms will alternate between the two parishes: one month at St. Pius X and the next at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton.Children from 1st grade and older receive the Sacrament of Baptism through Faith Formation Sessions. If you need more information, please visit Faith Formation for Children page.
If you are seeking Baptism for yourself and you are older than 18 years of age, we invite you to visit our Becoming Catholic page or contact Stephanie Moran.
