A wonderful opportunity to be involved in our Parish community at an early age!  Young people who have received their First Communion, are eligible to serve when they are 8 years old and in 3rd grade. They can serve through their High School years. All Altar Servers must have a desire to serve in a thorough manner to fully participate in the Mass. New altar server training is available several times a year as needed. Adults are needed to be acolytes to help support our weekday and special Masses.

The Environment Ministry serves to enhance our liturgical space.  It involves creating and arranging objects, furnishings, sights, sounds, colors, aromas and textures in a way that people gathering in prayer are drawn to full, conscious and active participation in the ritual. Our planning team meets monthly from September thru May, with a summer planning retreat.  Other members join us for workshops and to ‘decorate’ before major celebrations such as Advent/Christmas and Lent/Easter.
 
The Flower Ministry helps to complement our community's liturgical space throughout the seasons of the Church and the seasons of the year.  This ministry strives to use plants and flowers to provide an inspiring and appropriate environment for worship.  The arrangement of all the beautiful colors and textures that Nature provides helps us to create a sense of peace and welcome for our community prior to entering our church for worship, as well as creating this sense of peace for our Altar. Outside gardeners?  Ask about our newly formed Garden & Landscape Management Committee.

On the night before He died, Christ gathered His Apostles to celebrate the Last Supper, and to give us the inestimable gift of His Body and Blood.  This is the source and summit of our Catholic Faith.
 
Eucharistic Ministers assist the priest in the distribution of the Eucharist when the size of the congregation requires it. Candidates for the ministry must be Catholic, a member of the parish in good standing, and will be trained prior to becoming an Extraordinary Minister of the Eucharist in preparation to fulfill their role with knowledge and reverence.  Upon completion of this training they will be commissioned by the priest as a member of the EMEs. 

Lectors proclaim the readings during Mass. This ministry requires a time commitment to prepare - ahead of time - so that God’s message is delivered to His people in the best possible way. Our schedule is prepared quarterly, and every effort is made to work around vacations and honor time off requests. It is preferable that our lectors be available for all Masses, but specific Mass requests are honored. Liturgical training sessions are offered 2-3 times per year in conjunction with all other liturgical ministers. Most of our communication and scheduling is done via email.

 This ministry is open to all men & women and older teens, who can heartily welcome people of our community to weekend and special Masses. 
This ministry requires an understanding of the nature of liturgical prayer, the ability to relate to people of all ages, and the capacity to respond well to challenging situations.
 
We greet and welcome the congregation when they arrive for Mass, help them to find seating if needed, pick up the Offertory collection, direct the faithful to Communion stations and distribute bulletins at the end of Mass.

Specialized Extraordinary Ministers of the Eucharist [EMEs] bring Holy Communion to our community’s Catholics who are permanently or temporarily unable to attend Mass due to illness. Our ministers serve with love and compassion.  
 
To volunteer to this ministry, you must be an adult Catholic who has received the sacrament of Confirmation and has been commissioned as an Extraordinary Minister of the Eucharist. You must be a registered parishioner, in good standing with the church, and pass the background check required by the Archdiocese. 
Please contact us if you would like to minister to our homebound or know of a disabled individual who can no longer come to Mass and would like to have Communion brought to their home.

Has God gifted you with the ability to play a musical instrument or a passion to lift your voice in joyful praise? St. Elizabeth Ann Seton has several music groups and we are always looking for committed individuals, adults and children, to join our music ministry offering praise to God through music.
The Spirit of Light Choir sings a mixture of contemporary, praise and worship, traditional, Filipino and Spanish music at the 5:00 PM Saturday mass. Rehearsals are held on Thursday evenings, 7:00 PM to 8:30 PM.
The Sunday Contemporary Choir sings a mixture of traditional, contemporary and gospel music at the 9:00 AM Sunday mass. Rehearsals are held on Tuesday evenings, 7:00 PM to 8:30 PM.
The Sunday Traditional Choir sings primarily traditional music at the 11:00 AM Sunday mass. Rehearsals are held on Wednesday evenings, 7:00 PM to 8:30 PM.
The Hispanic Choir sings and plays traditional and contemporary Spanish music at the 1:00 PM Sunday mass. Rehearsals are held on Sunday mornings, 10:00 AM to 12:20 PM.
 
The Lifeteen Choir is comprised of the youth of our parish and sings contemporary praise and worship music at the 5:00 PM Sunday Youth mass. Rehearsals are held on Monday evenings, 6:30 PM to 7:30 PM. Youth must be in 9th grade to join this group.
 
Our Children’s Choir sings a wide variety of age appropriate church hymns at our Children’s Christmas.  They practice in the weeks ahead of their liturgies.  New voices and instruments are enthusiastically welcomed and nurtured. All youth in 3rd grade or higher are encouraged to join. 

Our mission as a prayer ministry is to encourage people to spend one quiet hour each week in silent and open prayer before Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament in our parish Sacred Heart Chapel. You can choose Adoration times Monday to Friday from 10:00 am to 9:00 pm.  See the grid posted outside the chapel doors for special prayers times and open slots.

What we do is very humble.  We wash and iron the Corporals and the Purificators for use on the Altar and Credence table during the Eucharistic Liturgy at Mass. The linens need to be laundered in a specific way because of the body and blood of Christ. This is a wonderful service that is done at home that helps the priest and brings the Lord to the community.

The Funeral Committee is in place to help bereaved families plan a reception after the Funeral Mass. There are different ways in which you can be involved. We have a crew of volunteers to setup, serve and cleanup at funeral receptions. Others donate cookies/dessert.

Psalm 150: 1-6: says “Praise God in his sanctuary; praise him in his mighty heavens. Praise him for his acts of power; praise him for his surpassing greatness. Praise him with the sounding of the trumpet, praise him with the harp and lyre, praise him with timbrel and dancing, praise him with the strings and pipe, praise him with the clash of cymbals, praise him with resounding cymbals. Let everything that has breath praise the Lord”. That’s what we do every Tuesday, 7-8PM in the Chapel to Jesus in Blessed Sacrament. Join us to Praise and Worship our Lord Jesus and be encouraged and enriched in His presence.

A Sacristan is a Liturgical Minister that sets things up before Mass, making sure everything is ready and in place for the reverent celebration of the Eucharist. If you feel the call to serve the Lord through His ministers, the priests, and have attention to detail, consider joining this ministry.

Our sessions are held on the 1st and 3rd Tuesdays of each month, from September through March, in the Fellowship Hall from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. 
Come deepen your faith and understanding of Sacred Scripture and our Catholic heritage. These sessions are structured in a way that helps each participant to open and explore the Catechism, revealing to them the sacred deposit of our Faith’s Tradition.
We watch DVD series and have discussions based on Scripture, the Catechism of the Catholic Church, and the experiences and faith of the participants.
