We are looking for volunteers to help bring the Passion of Christ Encounter to life. There are still a few acting roles open, and we especially need people to be part of the crowd scenes. No experience is required—only availability and a heart willing to serve. The following roles are still open: * 1 Good Thief: rehearsals are Saturdays. * 2 Soldiers / Smiters / Guards: guards rehearse on Tuesdays, soldiers rehearse on Saturdays. * 2 or 3 Sanhedrin Priests: rehearsals are on Tuesdays and Saturdays * People to act as the crowd: rehearsals on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Saturdays. Young adults from St. Pius X and St. Elizabeth Ann Seton are invited to our first annual Young Adult Retreat! Come spend a weekend growing in faith, prayer, and friendship with other young adults in our Catholic community. The St. Pius X Filipino Club is inviting children in grades 3 through 9 to learn Tinikling, a traditional Philippine folk dance. Practices will be held on Saturdays beginning January 17. The Archdiocese of Seattle has opened an Emergency Relief Fund. It is designed to provide financial support for parishes and schools to address the urgent needs impacting their local communities during a disaster. Gifts to the Emergency Relief Fund will support flood-related needs and will also be available in the future for other local emergency or disaster relief efforts. The Knights of Columbus (KofC) is an organization that empowers Catholic men to live their faith at home, in their parish, at work, and in their community. Those who are unable to travel to Rome can participate in the local Jubilee by making a pilgrimage to St. James Cathedral in Seattle or one of the other designated pilgrimage sites to gain the Indulgence. At each site, you will find a self-guided pilgrimage booklet that includes special prayers for the Jubilee.
